Job summary

The Clinical Consultant Practitioner (non-medical) provides senior clinical and strategic leadership across all Nimbuscare Directorates. The postholder will work at consultant level, operating autonomously to provide expert clinical practice across services, leadership and consultancy, education, and research/service development. They will act as visible clinical leaders, line managing the practitioner workforce across Directorates, promoting clinical excellence, psychological safety, and learning in alignment with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).

The role combines approximately 55% governance, research, and service development with 45% clinical practice. The postholder will oversee governance, PSIRF-aligned event management, workforce development, and service improvement initiatives, working closely with Directors and Associate Directors on service, and advanced practice development. This role will help drive strategic transformation, quality assurance, and support the development of the Advanced, Enhanced, and intermediate Clinical Practitioner workforce.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Consultant Clinical Practitioner (Non-Medical) with urgent care experience to provide senior clinical, strategic, and professional leadership across all Nimbuscare directorates.

This high-impact role is ideal for an experienced, ambitious Advanced Clinical Practitioner. You will work at consultant level, with approximately 45% dedicated to autonomous clinical practice within urgent care and 55% focused on governance, PSIRF-aligned safety work, education, research, and service transformation.

You will act as a visible senior leaderdriving clinical excellence, shaping workforce development, and supporting the organisations advanced practice strategy.
