Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well organised and
self-motivated individual to join Nimbuscare as our Data Quality Officer.
This post would suit individuals who are confident in the use of
Microsoft Office, have extremely strong excel skills, and have a detailed
understanding and working knowledge of Patient Administration Systems including
SystmOne.
You will be working to improve the quality of data on our Patient
Administration Systems, through improving data entry via templates, reporting
and auditing. You will work with the clinical teams to identify data quality
issues and resolve as required and support both the Project team and Operations
team, through designing data entry templates and reporting functionality. You
will work with partner organisations to create and run necessary clinical
searches to assist in clinical research
You will be responsible for the asset register for all IT
equipment, for maintaining the risk register related to data information
governance, for maintaining the IG Toolkit, IG policies and IG audits, ensuring
that all staff understand their responsibility in relation to data & IG,
and supporting the team in developing their data skills through training and
support.
The post holder will work with a range of key stakeholders to
promote and support the importance in gaining in depth awareness and knowledge of
relevant standard operating procedures and their relevance to data collection
and data completeness.
Main duties of the job

the go-to person for clinical reporting and audit, and the trainer and mentor
for all team members needing to use clinical systems.
To acquire knowledge of complex NHS data
standards and systems and apply your knowledge on a daily basis to a
variety of problems and queries
To effectively work with key stakeholders when
dealing with queries in relation to systems and/or data quality issues and
delivering appropriate solutions.
To communicate effectively and clearly with
system users and may be required to assist with data quality awareness sessions
for staff
To run and analyse automated reports and
system interfaces
To act as a lead on all aspects of data
quality as required, managing the initiation, progress and documentation until
completed
To participate in appropriate audits to
determine data quality solutions for users, including assessing potential guidance
needed and liaising as necessary with users
To identify areas where poor quality data is
entered onto systems and provide necessary guidance to ensure its right first
time
Present data quality KPIs to demonstrate the
quality of data is improving
To manage system merges in a timely and
efficient manner to allow for service continuity
Maintain and develop data quality
documentation such as procedure flow diagrams, process documents etc.
To provide departmental support to new post
holders with regards to data quality and the systems used
