Job summary
An exciting and rare opportunity has opened, to join our specialist team within St Lukes to help deliver our Strategy Every Death Matters with a key focus on early intervention and identification of palliative and end of life care.
Within St Lukes therapy team their key focus is on palliative rehabilitation enabling people to live fully until they die.
We will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills, depending on your needs or interest, to secure your place as a Band 6 Specialist OT in 18 months time with clear objectives and pathway towards a Band 6 role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be working predominantly within the specialist community team providing high standard of Occupational Therapy assessment with patients in their own home alongside the Clinical Nurse Specialist team. The AHP team offer an in-reach service to patients admitted to the inpatient Unit, assisting in discharge planning and therapeutic interventions.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of specialist palliative care to patients and their families. Once in post you will be afforded the time and space to engage in specialised training and development opportunities to help you become a more enhanced Specialist Palliative and end of life OT.
