You will be a compassionate and
proactive Healthcare Assistant with a strong person-centred approach to
palliative care.
You will have -
An interest in specialist
palliative care and a commitment to compassionate practice.
Experience working as a HCA in
a hospital or similar care setting.
Good verbal and written
communication skills, with an understanding of confidentiality.
The ability to work effectively
as part of a team and use initiative to prioritise work.
A willingness to work towards
the Care Certificate and develop IT skills.
An understanding of
safeguarding and clinical governance.
Flexibility to work; days,
nights and unsocial hours.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to work within the inpatient unit at our Little Hulton site, supporting patients and those close to them with a life limiting illness.
