We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Assistant to support our fundraising events, helping to maximise income while delivering excellent supporter experiences.

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS Check at the level appropriate to the role, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures. All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty 2015.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Assistant to support the delivery of a vibrant fundraising events programme for Moya Cole Hospice. This is a rewarding opportunity to develop your events and fundraising experience while making a meaningful difference to those with life-limiting illness and their loved ones.

You will work as part of a supportive and passionate team, gaining hands-on experience delivering a wide range of events, building valuable skills in event management, supporter care and communications, and contributing directly to the income that enables the hospice to provide provides outstanding care to those who need it at a difficult time in their lives.

You will support the planning, promotion and delivery of hospice-owned and third-party fundraising events, helping to ensure they are well organised, safely delivered and provide a positive experience for supporters, participants and volunteers. The role also supports other fundraising activity, including memorial services and seasonal on-site events.
