Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competency Based Framework, Band
5 (£30,869 £37,577 pro rata)
Working
Pattern: 37.5hours across 5 days, with some
evening/weekend working

The successful candidate will be subject to a Standard/Enhanced
DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within
the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training
appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and
responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working
Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty
2015.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an
enthusiastic and skilled Events Fundraiser, who will be responsible for
developing and implementing a programme of vibrant and commercially successful
fundraising events in support of the hospice, including hospice own events and
3rd party events.

Job responsibilities
The Events Fundraiser will:
- Take the lead in the development,
growth and coordination of the events income stream, ensuring a maximum return
on investment and achievement of annual budgets
- Build and manage effective
relationships with event partners to develop strong and repeated partnerships
- Ensure that all events are run in
compliance with hospice policies on data protection, risk management and health
and safety, in keeping with HSE and Fundraising Regulator guidance on events
- Work closely with the
communications team to develop and deliver effective marketing plans, ensuring
all events are well planned and strategically promoted
- Provide advice, support and
expertise to the wider fundraising team and hospice teams including
logistical and health and safety guidance
- Provide effective leadership,
management, supervision and support to the Events Assistant.
- Produce a rolling 12-month
business plan for all event activity, provide the Fundraising Manager with
regular updates, written monthly progress reports and post event analysis
outlying areas of success and improvements
- Work with the Fundraising Manager
to set and manage the events fundraising income target and expenditure
- Increase the capacity of the events function and enhance supporter
experience by recruiting, training and motivating a team of events volunteers.
