Job summary

Channel Health Alliance, a GP federation providing NHS services, is seeking to recruit an administrator to support the administration and senior management teams.

As part of the administrative team, you will provide outstanding support and skills and good working relationships with colleagues and senior managers. You will be an effective communicator with an excellent knowledge of IT systems and have the ability to prioritise your workload, ensuring that work is completed in a professional, safe and timely manner. Have proven customer care skills and the ability to be flexible and move between the company's sites and services.

Main duties of the job

Supporting with the general daily running of the admin office

Managing the service clinical roster system and session filling

To ensure the company's services are fully staffed, using When I Work (Rota) and EMIS

Contacting our Locum GPs to discuss availability if required

Contacting our Staffing Agencies to provide cover where GPs / ANPs are unable to work

Taking part in the On call roster

Finance team support

Consumables and equipment ordering

Supporting the service leads with medicines management

Supporting the Quality Team

Supporting the Patient and Staff Engagement development

Job responsibilities

Taking part in the On call roster

Finance team support

Consumables and equipment ordering

Managing the service clinical roster system and session filling

Supporting operational managers with medicines management

Supporting the Company Quality Team

Supporting the Patient and Staff Engagement development

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To ensure the UTC/PCN and company services are fully manned, using When I Work (Rota) and Emis. When and where necessary

Contacting our Locum GPs to discuss availability if required

Contacting our Staffing Agencies to provide cover where GPs / ANPs unable to work when required

Contacting On Call GPs when staff unable to attend if required

Dealing and supporting leads at the Sites if required

As a member of the admin team you may be asked to support some of the following areas:

Finance team support

Consumables and equipment ordering

Managing the service clinical roster system and session filling

Supporting the Patient and Staff Engagement development

Offer general assistance to the company administration team, outside of this job description, and project a positive and friendly image to practices, patients and professionals, either in person or via the telephone

Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the office

Facilitate effective communication between practices, members the public, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

To support a range of administrative programs of work including projects.

To provide support to service users and providers.

Support the monitoring of various program of work together with the senior management team

Be proactive and able to work using your initiative and on occasion be comfortable working by yourself in the office.

Visiting our units at RVH, Deal Hospital and Buckland Hospital to ensure our staff there have supplies. Deliveries to site of stock and carrying out inductions for new members of staff.

Will work closely and assist our service managers to ensure that she is aware of any developments or possible issues with staffing.

To participate in the Companys On Call Rota - One week in every 4. Weekly rate of payment plus expenses is provided.

Please be aware that we are not a Surgery and our work is not applicable to a surgery environment.
