PCN Pharmacy Technician

Job summary

Macclesfield Primary Care Network is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to support the Practices and GP Prescribing Leads in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for repeat prescribing and medicines management.

Main duties of the job

Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy is developing and we are looking for a motivated individual who is flexible to respond to the developing nature of the role and the needs and priorities of individuals requiring support. Under the direction of the Clinical Pharmacists we expect that you will be able to work independently and manage your own workload. You will need excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with patients, primary care staff, community pharmacists and other partners.

You will have a mentor within the Primary Care Network, as well as clinical supervision from a senior Clinical Pharmacist.

Since 1 July 2019, the 6 GP practices based at Waters Green Medical Centre have come together to form Macclesfield Primary Care Network (MPCN) covering a population of approximately 61,400 patients.

Our mission in Macclesfield is to strengthen, develop and support local General Practice, to enable the delivery of high-quality care to local people.

We are building teams within the PCN to enable peer support and team working both within and across professions.
