PCN Physicians Associate

Job summary

We are hoping to further diversify and expand our multidisciplinary team in the Macclesfield Primary Care Network, comprised of 6 GP Practices. We currently have a team Physician Associates working with the PCN and across our GP practices, giving access to appropriate support and clinical supervision through close working relationships.

We are hoping to expand our PA workforce for each of our PCN practices, and create a PA hub in our local area.

Main duties of the job

As a Physician Associate, you will be providing a range of services such as clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, triage, care management and clinical decision-making and referring patients appropriately when required.

You may have a mix of duties including acute, chronic, undifferentiated illness in variety settings e.g. routine appointments in base practices, care home ward rounds, acute home visit and acute clinics.

You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within practices and the community whilst being supported by a designated GP Mentor.
