Job summary
The post
holder will be an autonomous practitioner working independently and in
conjunction with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat
the conditions of patients attending within the i-Heart service initiating
direct referrals as appropriate.
As
a non-medical prescriber your duties will include visit triage, home visits to
housebound patients and seeing on the day patients for acute and minor illness
in a clinical setting, working on behalf of Barnsley Healthcare Federation
providing a service to Barnsley PCN practices. You will work as part of a
multi-skilled, professional team alongside GPs, Physician Associates and other
ACPs. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and
ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. Provide new and innovative
concepts, models, methods, and practices to deliver new and improved i-Heart
services. Support with education and training to other staff and students and undertake
research as part of the role.
