Role summary:
To take a lead role in the delivery of comprehensive and effective recovery to people who look to us for support. To work with and support other team members to ensure that people receive skilled recovery practice to the highest standard. To assume responsibility for the safe running of the unit in the absence of the manager/clinical lead.

- To promote and improve quality of service provided.

- To participate in the internal rotation system, including weekend working

Job responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified RMN to take a lead role in the delivery of comprehensive and effective recovery to people who look to us for support. To work with and support other team members to ensure that people receive skilled recovery practice to the highest standard. To assume responsibility for the safe running of the unit in the absence of the manager/clinical lead.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To be a proactive, skilled member of the ward multi-disciplinary team.
- To have knowledge of and experience in providing individual and group clinical/therapy work.
- To demonstrate effective leadership and assist with providing advice and guidance to non-qualified staff and students.
- To be responsible for the provision and maintenance of effective therapeutic relationships, which at all times acknowledges the rights and personal dignity, and encourages opportunity for growth and development, of the person using this service.
- To work in line with agreed safeguarding protocols at all times.
- To engage actively in required training.
- To demonstrate a working knowledge of the legal requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 (including 2007 updates), Mental Capacity Act 2005 (to include Deprivation of Liberty safeguards), Care Programme Approach, Care Act 2014 and National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990.
- To work to the NICE and NMC Guidelines and Standards.
- To be aware of and work in line with all relevant Charity Policies and Procedures.

The skills/qualifications needed to be considered for this role:
- RMN qualification
- NMC registration
- Demonstrable effective leadership qualities
- Experience in providing individual and group clinical/therapy work
- A working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- Experience of assessing complex health and wellbeing needs and developing individual care plans
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
