- Experience within orthopaedics is desirable but not essential.
Main duties of the job
- Provide high-quality perioperative care across the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative pathway.
- Prepare and maintain operating theatres, instruments and equipment
- Support surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures
- Ensure the correct surgical instruments, implants and consumables are available
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any clinical changes
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards
- Ensure accurate patient documentation and records
