Main duties of the job
In this vital role, youll help deliver fresh, nutritious and beautifully presented meals for our patients, staff and visitors. Youll support our chefs with food preparation, maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards, assist with meal services, and ensure allergen information is communicated accurately. You will work within a wellorganised kitchen environment where teamwork, precision and quality truly matter.
What youll do:
- Preparing and presenting food to high standards
- Supporting salad bar preparation, patient meals and staff catering
- Keeping food safety records, HACCP documents and cleaning schedules up to date
- Ensuring a safe, clean and efficient kitchen environment
- Working collaboratively with Hotel Services and catering colleagues
- Upholding the centres values and delivering great customer service

Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead
Contract Type: Permanent, 30 hours per week
Working Pattern: Flexible Monday to Sunday, 4 out of 7 days with shifts ranging from 7 am to 6.30pm
Pro-rata Salary: £19,905.60 per annum + up to £5k through any overtime and enhanced weekend rates
