Were looking for a dynamic and experienced Deputy Head of Finance to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support both our Head of Finance and newly appointed Finance Director during a pivotal time of transition and strategic development.

Youll play a key role in leading financial operations, driving improvements, and ensuring robust financial control across our multi-site organisation.

Main duties of the job

What Youll Be Doing

  • Supporting financial and management accounting, reporting, and control activities.
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet.
  • Managing and developing finance teams across multiple locations.
  • Enhancing financial systems and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Preparing board-level reports and monthly management accounts.
  • Overseeing tax compliance, statutory accounts, and external audits.
  • Driving system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.

  • Knowledge of strategic financial planning and risk management.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience in healthcare or multi-site environments (desirable but not essential).
