Job Opportunity As a Training and Participation Lead in our Lancashire Young People's service, you will build and maintain community relationships and support our teams and peer mentors to build connections with diverse communities. Our Training and Participation Lead will deliver face to face and online training to professionals from a range of different partner agencies. Helping to increase awareness around substances and delivering the harm reduction messages. Although this post will be covering the entirety of Lancashire, you will be based at one of our Lancashire offices (Burnley, Preston or Lancaster) This position is offered on a full time, fixed term basis, until 31st March 2027. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with young people and a clear motivation for working in the drug and alcohol sector. • We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with young people and a clear motivation for working in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
• You will have:
• A Volunteer Management qualification, or a Training qualification, or equivalent, or be willing to achieve this within 18 months
• Experience of planning and delivering training programmes
• Experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding and boundaries, meaningfully involving young people in co-production and implementation
• The ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• A proven track record of working as an individual and as part of a team sharing skills, experience and knowledge with other
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Resilience and strong prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
• Strong IT skills
• The ability to visit other locations in order to deliver the services required - use of a car for business purposes is required
