Our team in Dumfries and Galloway is recruiting for an Access and Engagement Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. This role will focus on access and signposting for people coming into the service. Job Opportunity
This is a permanent and full time role, working 37.5 hours per week - this may include some evenings and Saturdays on occasion. The role needs some flexibility to carry out initial contact with clients who are referred into the service, as we receive some referrals from people who are unavailable during normal office hours.
As an Access and Engagement Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,000, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,000 per year. For further details please reach out to a member of the recruitment team via .
WithYou Dumfries and Galloway is a drug and alcohol support service covering the whole region from 2 fixed bases. There is an established team working within each site and the service continues to work with a high volume of clients coming through.
Our Access and Engagement Workers act as a first point of contact for our clients, to ensure that they are able to access appropriate services and treatment efficiently and promptly. You will work as part of a dedicated service team and work in close partnership with other health care professionals, partner agencies, service commissioners and clinical/mental health teams to ensure that those accessing our services receive prompt advice and treatment. You'll be joining a team with clients at the forefront of everything they do, with the core aim of improving access to appropriate services for those who are needing our support.
Key duties for this role include:
Being the first point of contact for new clientsSupport with the arranging of appointments, coordination of referrals and telephone answering to provide an efficient information service to clientsProvide an effective and accurate data entry service including the production of basic statistical reports as requested by managementSignposting new clients to appropriate services and ensuring that they have the information they need to access support
