Main duties of the job
About the role Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity. This is a fixed-term role until March 2026, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs and approvals - though this cannot be guaranteed. The postholder will be required to work 37.5 hours per week (Wednesday evenings are required). This role will have a specialised harm reduction focus. You will support individuals who are using drugs and alcohol by providing structured, brief harm reduction interventions and other psychosocial and pharmacotherapy interventions. You will build trust, provide resources, and connect them to our services like our needle exchange, and support for health, including screening for blood-borne viruses. Key duties include assessing needs, care planning, maintaining confidential records and collaborating with other agencies to break down barriers to treatment and improve health outcomes within the community.
