Job description

Job responsibilities

Join us as a Recovery Worker (Prehab) in Glasgow.

The North East Glasgow Recovery Hub has an exciting opportunity available for a Recovery Worker to be part of a citywide service providing wraparound support to individuals accessing residential services in Glasgow. If you are enthusiastic, creative and passionate about helping others, we'd love to hear from you.

In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9), this post is open to female applicants only, as it is a genuine occupational requirement for the role to be filled by a woman. This requirement is due to the nature of the role, which involves work with vulnerable women, allowing them choice and sensitivity when working with us - both in preparing and engaging in treatment. The role requires an individual who can effectively understand and support the needs of women who may have experienced gender-specific challenges.

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

The closing date for applications is 29th September 2025. Please note that this role may close early should sufficient applications be received, so early application is advised. All applicants must submit a CV along with a cover letter explaining why they should be considered for this role.
