Job responsibilities
Do you have at least 2 years full time experience working in mental health and have great interpersonal skills that you want to develop while becoming a therapist?
We are proud to offer a high quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offer, weekly 1-2-1 supervision, group supervision and reflective practice. You will be part of a supportive team of highly experienced practitioners and leaders, who are passionate about making a difference to people's lives.
In addition, this exciting opportunity includes an NHS funded Postgraduate Diploma course which will give you the skills to assess and deliver NICE recommended CBT interventions in community settings, for people suffering with symptoms of anxiety and depression. Interviews will be held virtually on 14th and 15th October 2025. Successful candidates will need to start employment by 26th January 2026 subject to satisfactory checks.

This is a permanent and full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, dependent on successfully passing the Postgraduate Diploma, as we are committed to your continued development and retention within our organisation. The position will be hybrid and you will have the opportunity to work from home but you must be able to physically attend Canterbury Christ Church University in person throughout the course; this will usually be a Monday and Tuesday. There may be additional days that you will need to attend in person but notice will be given as far in advance as possible. We also require you to attend a weekly in-person clinic, this will be decided by your line manager depending on service needs and your location.

Visa requirements
As these roles are funded by Health Education England for home fees and not for international fees. The University requires you either need to have a UK passport, or have settled status in the UK. Only applicants that have the right to work in the UK without time limits and working restrictions and are eligible for Home Fees status, are able to access the training needed for this role.
