Job summary

WithYou at Chy offers residential places for adults who have just done a detox. Our programme runs for 12 weeks. We offer one-to-one and group support, life skills workshops and training and education opportunities. Expert help is on hand 24 hours a day.

Main duties of the job

You will be supporting colleagues, volunteers and sessional workers providing advice and guidance, as appropriate. You will ensure care standards are maintained and service users receive the most appropriate care.

About the Role You will be a compassionate and inspiring Residential Practitioner who has demonstrable experience of working in a residential health and social care setting and supporting substance misuse service users. We are looking for someone with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively. It is important that you have sound knowledge and understanding of assessments, care planning, issues affecting substance users and motivational interviewing, to name a few. Please note you will be required to work evenings and weekends. Please also be advised that a full driving licence and use of a car is essential for this post.
