Job description

Job responsibilities

Join us as a Team Leader in the Scottish Highlands.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, committed team that delivers one-to-one and group support through digital platforms. You'll be at the heart of a service that's breaking down barriers for people who might otherwise struggle to get the help they need due to location, transport, or digital access.

Our Highland service will provide support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. This is a digital service and an exciting new model of service delivery. All client interventions will be delivered digitally. This includes a combination of web-based and phone support, ensuring those without reliable internet access can still receive help. Our range of options includes one-to-one, and virtual support groups delivered using digital tools. The service is for people living within NHS Highland, so knowledge and understanding of this area is preferred and being based in this region is desirable. The closing date for applications is 3rd August 2025. This advert may close early should sufficient applications be received.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Confident in leading and supporting teams remotely
  • Calm, organised, and able to make decisions under pressure
  • Passionate about access, equity, and trauma-informed care
  • Ideally familiar with the NHS Highland area and local challenges
  • You'll join a national organisation that's committed to innovation, inclusion, and delivering life-changing support. We're With You, a leading charity helping over 100,000 people each year across England and Scotland with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges. Find out more about what we do at www.wearewithyou.org.uk.

This post requires excellent leadership skills to work innovatively and confidently. You will support staff in high performing recovery work, overseeing quality assurance and safeguarding, with the capacity to work within competing demands and tight timescales. To be eligible for this post, you must be registered (or be eligible for registration) with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health Care or equivalent.

This is a part time, permanent position working 30 hours per week with a salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum pro rata. This post will be based remotely with occasional travel for meetings. This role involves evening and weekend work in addition to working between 09:00 - 17:00.

    Benefits

  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • An extra day off for your birthday or a special occasion of your choice
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave
  • 2 days paid volunteer leave per year
  • Auto-enrollment into We Are With You's pension scheme
  • Access to a Blue Light Card - giving you great savings on big high-street and online brands
  • Flexible working opportunities and access to a range of services and resources to support you with your wellbeing
  • We have an excellent Refer a Friend scheme which offers you a £500 bonus for any recommendations, any role! Our scheme allows you to recommend your friends and family to work with us and earn a £500 bonus payment for every successful referral you make. Please note, the Refer a Friend scheme is only applicable if your recommended friend completes their 6 months probation period
  • As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff. We know that representing the communities we serve is key to us meeting our goals of radically improving people's lives. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring, and we encourage people from underrepresented communities and backgrounds to apply to join our team, including people with lived experience, people with disabilities, people from racialised communities, LGBTQ+ people, people of all ages and armed forces veterans. As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, we provide a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates that are veterans and meet all the essential criteria for a role. WithYou is also a Disability Confident Employer, and we offer a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with a disability and meet all the essential criteria for a role. If you have a disability, a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or a medical condition which you believe may affect your performance during any aspect of our selection process, we'll be happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable you to perform at your best.
