Job summary

As our Clinical Lead, you'll be a key part of our team leading our Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole service. You will be passionate about leading a clinical team and directly caring for service users with substance use concerns. Your innovative approach will make us more efficient and ensure we help more people.

Main duties of the job

You'll be a leader who can support and challenge our in-service clinical team to ensure that the clinical and psychosocial needs of our clients are met, prescribing is safe, effective and in accordance with best practice. As the Clinical Lead you will be responsible for providing support and regular clinical supervision to other prescribers working in the service and will be supported to become a CQC registered manager.

    Essential

    • You will be an experienced Nurse or Pharmacist with a passion and purpose for what we do.
    • You will ideally have an independent prescribing qualification, or willing to work towards one, and be fully registered with your relevant professional body.
    • You'll be able to demonstrate experience in the field of substance use, including training specific to the Drugs and Alcohol sector such as the RCGP Part 1 and/or Part 2 Certificate in the Management of Drug Misuse and/or the RCGP Certificate in the Management Alcohol Problems in Primary Care.
    • Able to meet WithYou's safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS certificate

    • The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and bring creativity to help streamline and improve our clinical offerings. We need a confident and experienced person who will be able to provide leadership to the extended clinical team.
    • You will be the right person to represent WithYou with NHS General Practitioners and relevant external public bodies in our sector. You will bring in-depth clinical knowledge and play a key role in ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and professional standards, including those set by the CQC.
    • To be successful in this role you will have:
    • Experience of providing a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team
    • Experience of working with substance misuse clients
    • Experience of facilitating clinical supervision in an individual and group setting
