Job summary

Our Recovery Workers work with our service users to help them to determine what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them back onto the path to recovery.

Main duties of the job

This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery.

Our vibrant and busy services in the Scottish Borders provides support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Recovery Worker who is motivated to work as part of a thriving and diverse team, ensuring recovery opportunities are available for individuals at any point in their recovery journey.

You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care and true person centred practice are at the heart of all that we do. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health care and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is essential for this post.

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

As an organisation we do not have a sponsorship license and are unable to provide sponsorship to live and work in the UK. As such candidates are required to hold the right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract you are applying for.

This role is to provide support to clients digitally, either over the telephone or online, although some face to face support may be required on occasion. The successful candidate will be office based although home working is possible if delivering early evening telephone/online support. This is a part time, permanent position working 18.75 hours per week with a salary of £24,570 per annum pro rata.
