Our team in Argyll and Bute are recruiting for a Lived Experience Rehabilitation Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Main duties of the job
Our vibrant service in Argyll & Bute provides support to people concerned about their own or someone else's drug or alcohol use. All our work is carried out in the communities we serve.
This position is for a Lived Experience Pre/Post Rehabilitation Worker and we are seeking someone with lived experience of drug or alcohol use who is looking to support others on their recovery journey.
Our Lived Experience Workers are an active and integral part of our teams, bringing ideas and solutions so we can develop and improve our recovery communities and helping our clients to get back onto the path to recovery. In your role, you will reach people through outreach, harm reduction, structured interventions and activities and will show through your own experience, knowledge and learning that change is possible.
The post offers intensive support pre residential rehabilitation, support throughout the placement & intensive support in aftercare. The ideal person will be passionate, friendly, non judgemental & committed to learning new skills and becoming an established part of our highly skilled team. Using your lived experience, you will support our clients with their journey either into recovery or maintaining their recovery. You'll experience all projects within our services, building your knowledge and experience, as well as completing all the essential learning you'll need in order to move towards becoming a recovery worker.
