Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated GP to join our team for 7 sessions per week.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our 4,500 registered patients within a primary care setting
Main duties of the job
Deliver high-quality, effective medical care to the Practices registered population.
Provide clinical services in accordance with the requirements of the GMS contract.
Manage patients with long-term conditions effectively, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
Adhere to best practice as defined by current clinical guidelines and participation in audit and quality assurance processes.
Accept delegated responsibility for defined areas of practice or elements of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
Contribute effectively to the ongoing development and sustainability of the Practice, including involvement in clinical governance and training activities.
Ensure full compliance with the annual appraisal process.
Prepare for and successfully complete the revalidation process.
Demonstrate a commitment to self-directed learning and promote a culture of continuing professional development across the practice team.
Support and contribute to the education and training of medical students and learners from all clinical disciplines.
Review, comply with, and consistently adhere to Practice protocols and policies.
Promote collaborative working by liaising regularly with all members of staff and fostering a culture of openness, learning, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or Equivalent General Practitioner;
- On Medical Performers List;
- Willing to undertake continuous personal development and ongoing mandatory training modules.
Desirable
- Evidence of continued professional development;
- Experience of appraisal in practice or other healthcare setting;
- Additional clinical skills beyond General Practice.
Aptitude and Abilities
Essential
- Willingness to share and collaborate across entire primary health team
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with multidisciplinary and multiagency teams
- Ability to work flexibly and with a facilitative approach
- Ability to recognise own limitations and act upon them appropriately
- Willingness to learn new skills and to problem solve on a daily basis
- An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality
- Ability to work within the changing structures of the NHS and work to the requirements of other regulatory bodies
- Excellent communication skills, recognising peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and able to respond accordingly
- Ability to deal with sensitive information in a tactful way

- Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role within a primary care setting patient consultations and manage patient records in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
- End of life care;
- Providing support to the practice in relation to Safeguarding;
- Prescribing safely in accordance with GMMG guidelines and best practice;
- Refering patients for specialist care when appropriate;
- Participation in and contribution to clinical audit work;
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of QOF requirements and local targets, including immunisation programmes;
- Ability to work independently, managing workload effectively and using clinical judgement appropriately.

- Womens health - diploma or similar qualification;
