Service Delivery Manager

Job summary

Due to our ambitious plans to deliver more services in the community and to provide the best possible care for our patients we are recruiting new roles to join our well established Clinical and Managerial team.

The Service Delivery Manager will lead on the development, and implementation of new service proposals across the Charnwood GP Federation. Working closely with the wider management team, Medical Director, Clinical Directors and the Charnwood GP Network (CGPN) board to facilitate the operational delivery of new clinical services.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide clear leadership; acting as a catalyst for change through demonstrating the ability to collaborate, influence and work effectively with others ensuring that new services are introduced at pace in a safe and effective manner.

This is a permanent, full- time role (subject to 6-month probationary period) although 4 days would be considered for the right candidate. We offer flexible working hours and support hybrid working from home and 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

- Work with the Medical Director, Clinical Directors and other clinical leads to provide managerial oversight into the development of multiple project plans.

- Work with these individuals plus external agencies and the wider management team to develop proposals and secure contracts.

- Lead on the development and operational implementation of an agreed list of new services to be delivered at either practice, PCN or Federation level.

- Provide oversight and operational management of services once established.

- Ensure staffing levels and staff competencies / skills meet the requirements for the services being delivered.

- Lead on the CQC and other regulatory compliance requirements for the services delivered by Charnwood GP Network

About us

Charnwood GP Network (CGPN) is a GP Federation in Leicestershire made up of 4 Primary Care Networks and 21 practices. We serve a patient population of approximately 185,000. The GP practices in the area have a long history of working together and have been working as an official federation since 2015.

- Develop processes to update the Charnwood GP Network (CGPN) Board and shareholder practices on the progress of service development projects.

- Monitor the performance of new services and provide evaluation reports and updates as required.

- Ensure effective communication channels between shareholder practices regarding new service developments, referral pathways etc.

- Network and engage with member practices, PCNs and the CGPN board on future service development opportunities.

- Input into the strategic direction and longer-term planning processes to deliver the Federations long term objectives

- Form links with other Federations and Primary Care Networks to share experiences and improve and develop new services.

- Be responsible for the updating and circulation of an agreed list of board policies and procedures.

- Line Manager for Care Co-Ordinator.

- Deputise for the Managing Director or other members of the Senior Management Team as required.
