We are looking for a Health and Social Care Trainer to join our Hospice at Home team here at Dorothy House. Someone who values emotional and psychological wellbeing, autonomy, and the importance of home life. This role is perfect for a motivated trainer who believes in dignified end-of-life care and enjoys helping others reach their potential.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE TRAINER | Band 5 £29,970 - £36,483 per annum (pro rata)
You will play a vital role in shaping and delivering high-quality training that empowers our care workers to provide exceptional, compassionate care to individuals in the final months of life. Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Deliver high-quality training aligned with CQC standards, legislation, and good practice.Plan and lead engaging induction and refresher training sessions for Hospice at Home staff.Develop and maintain the service training matrix to track and manage training compliance.Create and update course materials including presentations, e-learning modules, and workbooks.Adapt training methods to meet varied learning styles and maximise staff engagement.Provide one-to-one mentoring for staff who need additional support to complete training.Promote a positive learning culture and work collaboratively with team leaders and educators.Contribute to research opportunities that support and evaluate the social care model. HOURS OF WORK
This is a Part Time position, working 22.5 hours over 3 week days.
ABOUT YOU
Due to the community based nature of the role, the post holder will need to hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
The post holder will have an excellent understanding of the CQC 5 key questions and quality statements.
Essential requirements:
Hold a teaching qualification (PGCE, or equivalent)In date train the trainer (Moving and Handing, Medicines Management)Detailed knowledge and understanding of CQC standards within area of social care settings.Experience of coordinating training for groups/individuals with different learning stylesExperience in delivering learning/training solutions within the Health & Social Care sectorExcellent organisational, communication, written, oral and numeracy skills Desirable requirements: Experience in training colleagues from a varied background of previous education and experienceExperience with managing multiple priorities with the ability to work independently ABOUT THE BENEFITSDorothy House is an incredible place to work, these are just a few of our benefits that we offer to our staff:
