LYMPHOEDEMA CLINICAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT | Band 4 | £26,530 - £29,114 per annum (pro rata)
As a Band 4 Lymphoedema Clinical Support Assistant, you will support our registered clinicians in delivering high-quality care to patients living with both palliative and non-palliative Lymphoedema.
You will provide a wide range of hands-on treatments and practical support for patients and their families. This includes compression therapy, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), group activities, education and ongoing monitoring of care plans. Working as a key part of a multidisciplinary team, helping us provide holistic, patient-centred care in line with our values.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care that meets the individual needs of patients and their families, following care plans and agreed ways of working.Support with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility, always maintaining the person's dignity and preferences.Help patients stay as independent as possible, encouraging them and supporting them where needed.Assist with practical tasks like serving meals, helping patients to eat and drink, and ensuring their comfort and safety.Monitor and record changes in a patient's condition or behaviour, and report concerns to a senior nurse or other appropriate team member.Offer emotional support to patients, their families, and carers-being a kind, listening presence during difficult times.Work closely with other team members, including nurses, doctors, volunteers, and therapists, to provide joined-up care.Keep accurate, clear records of the care you provide, using either written or electronic systems, in line with hospice procedures.Support infection control and health and safety procedures, helping to keep the care environment clean and safe.Take part in training and development, learning new skills and keeping your knowledge up to date to provide the best care. This is a Part Time role working 22.5 hours per week. This role will be based both at our Dorothy House Hospice in Winsley and out in our community.
