We are seeking a motivated, collaborative and experienced research professional to lead our research delivery and development efforts, ensuring our work continues to have a meaningful impact on the lives of the people we care for.

RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY LEAD | Band 8a £53,755 - £60,504 per annum (pro rata)

You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-quality research that makes a real impact on people who use our services, and on our wider community. You will be responsible for leading research income generation, including the writing and submission of funding applications.

Working closely with our Head of Education and Research, you will:

  • Lead the development of research topics, progressing ideas through to successful funding bids in collaboration with colleagues, service users and external partners.
  • Deliver academic and evaluation research projects, ensuring they are completed in line with ethical standards, regulatory frameworks and within time and budget constraints.
  • Act as a role model and expert in clinical research, using your knowledge and experience to mentor others, guide project development and uphold best practices in line with ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Champion a culture of research across the organisation, working with clinical leaders and educators to increase research skills, engagement and capability across the workforce.
  • Engage directly with service users and public contributors, promoting inclusivity, diversity and meaningful involvement in all areas of research planning and delivery.
  • Manage your own workload and support others, leading multiple projects and reporting to funders, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
  • Represent Dorothy House regionally, nationally and internationally, building collaborative research partnerships and increasing the visibility and reach of our work.

    HOURS OF WORK

    This is a Part Time, working 30 hour per week over 4 days. You will be based at hospice here in Winsley, with hybrid working available.

    You will be passionate about using research to improve the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses. You will need excellent project management and communication skills, along with strong clinical research experience in a healthcare setting.
