Job summary
Sentinel Healthcare are looking to recruit a full-time, experienced Administrator to join our established team and deliver high quality, administrative and reception support to our clinical teams.
The ideal candidate needs to be a confident team player, able to multi task a varied workload and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Delivering excellent patient care is at the heart of our organisation and applicants need to have a friendly, sympathetic and caring manner.
Attention to detail, accuracy and having excellent computer skills are a must.
You will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams in a professional manner.
Applicants will be a supportive team player, who can demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly within the team.
Ideally, applicants will have a recent background in healthcare administration, with knowledge of primary /secondary care sectors.

Sentinel Healthcare's administrative base is on the Plymouth Science Park, bordering the Bircham Valley nature reserve which has some beautiful woodland and is a haven for wildlife. This provides staff with a very pleasant working environment. Our offices are located nearby to Derriford Hospital with its' excellent bus links.

We are commissioned to deliver NHS outpatient clinics across the city and remotely, delivering assessment and treatment for Cardiology, Chronic Fatigue, Dermatology, Ear Nose and Throat, Musculoskeletal and Vasectomy.
Sentinel also offer Private Healthcare Dermatology and Weight Management Services.

Booking and managing of patient appointments.

Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration (or similar).
Experience

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Understand GDPR and the need for confidentiality.
- Previous recent experience of working in a similar healthcare environment.
- Experience of using a healthcare electronic patient database system.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Polite and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise workload and achieve targets within given deadlines.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
- Interested in developing and improving organisational procedures and protocols.
Desirable
- Knowledge of EMIS and SystmOne or similar electronic patient record system.
- Experience of using the E- Referral System (ERS)
