We Are Survivors is looking for new talent to join our Executive team in a brand new role

The organisation has recently re-structured and is now looking for a Community Services Director to join the Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Criminal Justice Services Director and Operations Director, in taking the organisation to the next level.

Main duties of the job

You will provide Director level leadership to the community services that We Are Survivors delivers to male survivors and their loved ones, including trauma-informed therapy, Independent Sexual Violence Advisor service, community development offers, group activities, etc; lead the development of strategic plans;support the organisation to successfully meet our £1.7m annual income target.

You will manage a team of community based Service Managers and work closely with the Criminal Justice Service Director to support those that have accessed our services in prison to successfully access our community services. You will attend Executive Leadership meetings and Board meetings; represent the organisation in local, regional and national working groups; whilst all your work will directly contribute to and impact on providing services and opportunities for boys and men affected by sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation, to aid their healing and realise our vision of#NoMaleSurvivorLeftBehind

  • Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Degree in Psychology (or equivalent with relevant clinical/forensic practice)
  • Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, General Nursing (or equivalent with relevant clinical practice); or similar health and wellbeing related qualification

Desirable

  • Masters Degree in counselling, psychotherapy or Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Certificate / Diploma in EMDR
  • PG Cert / Diploma in CBT
  • Project Management qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of holding a Clinical Governance / Leadership role (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and experience of working withing Health & Safety guidelines, processes and legislation
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of developing customer relationship management systems, membership systems and of using database information
  • Experience of delivering on an organisational strategy
  • Experience of providing 1:1 support or advocacy to adults and/or young people with vulnerabilities
  • Experience of processing data at a strict confidentiality level.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience of coaching or mentoring
  • Experience of working within the Criminal Justice System
  • Experience of working within a highly confidential setting, adhering to information governance
