Job summary
We have a vacancy for a Health Rehabilitation Support Worker to work as part of the South West Community Service Team.
You will be expected to work alongside other healthcare professionals and volunteers to provide high standards of specialist palliative care and psychological support for patients, families and carers within the day therapy and hospice at home setting.
Main duties of the job
Applications are welcome from candidates with:
- An understanding of the core values of care and compassion in daily practice
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- An understanding of the principles of confidentiality are essential.
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and skills in palliative rehabilitation are desirable.
- Access to independent transport to visit patients in their own homes (as required by the role and a willingness to work in other areas of the Trust on occasions are essential
- UK resident.
Hours:
Negotiable, up to 37.5 hours per week
DBS Check:
This role requires a DBS check, this will be undertaken by St Barnabas Hospice
Starting Salary:
£23,743 pro rata, (plus weekend unsocial hours enhancement of 30% and contributory pension scheme or continuation of NHS pension)
