Job summary
We have a fixed term vacancy for a Facilitator to work with the Community Connector in Boston.
This new and vibrant partnership with Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust, Integrated Care Board, Centenary Church (Home of Boston Wellbeing Hub) and St Barnabas Hospice is dedicated to providing a community response for anyone struggling with their mental health and wellbeing in the Boston Area
The hub provides information, advice, guidance, and support for adults experiencing mental health or well-being issues and works with individuals to find and access the most appropriate support for them. This role will support the delivery of groups that champion local support networks, creating places where people can feel safe, healthy, connected and able to help themselves and each other.

Main duties of the job
Working alongside the lead community connector you will:
- Offer focused support to individuals and groups with the aim of building knowledge, skills, confidence, and resilience in people, as well as encouraging people to access local activities and services.
- Enable people to explore the situation affecting their mental health and wellbeing and support them to access appropriate resources including talking therapies, benefits advice, or local community activities.
- Work alongside people experiencing emotional or mental health issues to develop the skills to help restore and maintain their emotional wellbeing, support the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health and challenge stigma.
- Develop and increase the Hub's current wellbeing offer to ensure there are groups and activities being offered that meet the needs of our local community.
Qualifications and Experience:
Ideally you will have a relevant qualification or experience in community work, education, health, social care, and a good understanding of the impact of mental health on individuals, families and communities.
You will be confident in the use of social media with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage and work with all age groups.
You will be confident in working with partner agencies and have a good understanding of non-NHS providers.
As part of a small team, the ability to work with colleagues from across the community as well as independently is important.
