St Barnabas Hospice are looking to recruit a Infrastructure Engineerto work with our IM&T team.

Starting Salary: £28,794 per annum pro rata (plus weekend unsocial hours enhancement of 30%)

Salary increment: Band R receives a bi-annual increment pay rise.

Main duties of the job

You will be supporting the Infrastructure Team Manager in providing expert 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to ensure the architectural integrity and functionality of the infrastructure and applications to deliver Trust IM&T services.

Experience

Essential

  • 3 years experience of working within a busy IMT support environment employing a broad range of diagnostic, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
  • Experience of administrating currently supported Windows Server and Client Operating systems.
  • Experience of providing contentious information to people when tact and persuasion is needed
  • 2 years' experience in 2nd line support role (i.e. providing high level technical support)
  • Experience of focusing on in depth problem solving which requires intense concentration
  • Experience of desktop deployment using SCCM
  • Experience of group policy including auditing
  • Continued professional development, e.g. achievements or continuing work towards relevant academic / vocational study or technical research. Developing skills in new technology areas and maintaining skillset as IT systems change.
  • Experience of supporting IT systems to defined IT Security and Information Governance standards

  • Experience of working within a Healthcare / Charity organisation.
  • Understanding of basic IT processes relating to topics such as ITIL.
