Job summary
The Role Were looking for an experienced and values-driven Head of Quality to join our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Division and lead on the quality, safety and assurance agenda across the region. Reporting to the Divisional Quality Director, you will be at the forefront of ensuring clinical excellence across our urgent care pathways. Youll oversee clinical governance processes, lead assurance activity, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across our services - supporting safe, patient-centred care at every level. Youll bring deep clinical insight and experience, ideally from an IUC or urgent care background, and be confident in applying that knowledge to investigations, risk management, and quality assurance initiatives. Youll also provide strategic and operational leadership to the Quality team, supporting their development and championing a culture of shared learning, improvement and inclusion.
Main duties of the job
What youll need Substantial clinical experience in urgent or unscheduled care (e.g., IUC, NHS 111, OOH) Proven leadership in clinical governance, quality improvement or patient safety roles Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, clinical risk management and audit Experience leading or supporting investigations and assurance reporting Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data for decision-making Experience working with commissioners and external partners A passion for inclusive leadership and improving colleague and patient experience Ability to manage complex clinical and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment What youll get Up to £60,000 basic salary (DOE) Generous annual leave entitlement) Ongoing CPD and access to clinical leadership development Access to a range of health and wellbeing support, including 24/7 counselling NHS Pension Scheme or company pension Colleague recognition and reward programmes Opportunity to lead impactful work within a respected Social Enterprise NHS Blue Light Discount Card A collaborative, supportive environment where your voice and expertise matter
