Job summary

The role Were looking for a dynamic and clinically credible Clinical Quality & Governance Manager to play a key role in shaping, driving, and embedding quality and safety across our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Division. Youll be a visible and influential leader, working closely with the Divisional Quality Director to provide strategic oversight of quality systems, clinical governance, and improvement initiatives. Whether leading on incident management, clinical audits, or QI projects, youll ensure that patient care is consistently safe, responsive, and high quality. Youll also support and manage a team of Clinical Governance Officers and contribute to regional leadership, engaging with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician with a governance and quality background to influence how urgent care is delivered across a complex and fast-paced system.

Main duties of the job

What you need A clinical qualification and current NMC or HCPC registration Substantial experience working within urgent, emergency, primary, or secondary care settings A strong track record in clinical governance and quality improvement Experience managing complaints, incidents, and investigations using frameworks such as PSIRF Effective leadership and people management skills Confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management abilities Advanced Care Practitioner status and quality improvement training are desirable but not essential.
