As an NHS 111 Clinical Advisor at IC24, your job is to carry out complex clinical triage; providing assessment, advice and information to the patient. You will also support and assist our Health Advisors in the management of critical situations while ensuring patient safety.

So, if you're a skilled nurse or paramedic who is passionate and committed to delivering high quality healthcare advice, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our out-of-hours integrated urgent care 111 service.

To qualify to work from home you must be a registered nurse or paramedic with 2 years experience in acute/primary or community care andyou must be NHS 111 Pathways trained to Version 35 with at least 6 months post training experience.

Although you will be primarily home based you must be available to attend one of our care coordination centers as required to discuss call audits outcomes, undertake supervision, clinical and pathways updates when required.

Integrated Care 24 (IC24) is a major not for profit Social Enterprise providing innovative and wide-ranging patient focused primary care services designed to deliver quality and affordability. IC24 is committed to improving access to health and social care for our patients and reducing the demand on secondary care services. IC24 provides services to over 6 million patients, including GP led out of hours services, NHS 111, primary care and secondary care support services.

Location Home Working With visits to either our Ashford, Norwich, or Ipswich care coordinator centres when required

Hours Available Most of our call demand is in the evening and at weekends and we have full and part time opportunities ranging from a minimum of 12 hours to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, covering a 24/7 operation

Typical start times are between 07:00-20:00. We also have overnight rotas available.

We are confident we can find a rota that works for you but please note that we are predominantly an out of hours service so we require a minimum number of shifts to be undertaken during evenings and weekends and shift patterns can vary.

Additional hours may be available in times of peak demand.

Essential

  • Regulated Health Care Professional with existing registration.
  • Pathways V30 qualification.

Desirable

  • Recognised minor injuries certificate.
  • Mentor/coaching qualification.

Experience

  • Significant post-registration training/consolidation and experience (min 2 years) in acute or primary/community care or Paediatrics.
  • At least 6 months post Pathways training experience.

Desirable

  • Triage/telephone advice experience.
  • Experience of working independently.
