Job summary

The Inpatient Unit at Arthur Rank Hospiceprovides expert care to patients with complex and end of life care needs. We are holistic in our approach and the care is tailored to each persons specific needs. The compassionate team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide practical and holistic care supporting patients and their families.

We support people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care.

We care for over 3,800 patients each year at our Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech and across the Fens, in patients own homes.

Job responsibilities

We have opportunities to join our bank services as a Registered Nurse, working ad-hoc shift bank shifts from our hospice in Cambridge.

As a Registered Nurse you will work as part of a friendly and passionate multi-disciplinary team of specialists, led by a Ward Manager.

Our Nurses provide professional, patient centred palliative care, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients, their families and carers. You will lead, support and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills within the team.

Successful candidates will be NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with post registration experience in palliative care or in community, be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS Checks with Children's and Adult's Barred Lists included.
