Job summary

The Education department at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity (ARHC) supports learning and development across our charity, providing training programmes and guidance for staff as well as engaging with external partners to provide teaching, bespoke training, and student placements.

We have an opportunity to join this friendly team, working as a Practice Education Facilitator, this is a permanent role and we would welcome applications from those wishing to work between 30 to 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The role will be responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating education and training on palliative care using a flexible, evidenced based approach across the hospice and wider healthcare system. The role will act as an education resource for other professionals and support clinical colleagues to develop their own knowledge and skills.

Main duties will include:

  • Working with the Head of Education & Practice Developmentto identify training needs and supporting the delivery of palliative care and clinical skill training and competencies
  • Participating in the delivery of pre and post registration educational programmes.
  • Participating in the delivery of clinical supervision and restorative/resilience-based supervision
  • To have oversight of the day to day management of the library and learning resources service and line management of library staff

The Practice Education Facilitator will be an advanced practitioner within a relevant palliative care or similar clinical field. Its a requirement to hold NMC Registration and hold a qualification to Masters level (or equivalent) along with education or training qualification and substantial experience and knowledge of palliative care and teaching.

Due to the requirements of the role, candidates must have a driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS Check, with Adult and Child Barred Lists included.
