We are looking for Perioperative Practitioner to join the clinical team within our Richmond Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are looking to broaden their knowledge in a new area of healthcare. You will work part-time 30 hours per week, on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. More details can be found in the further information section below.
About the role
As a Perioperative Practitioner you will be responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing evidence-based & clinically effective care for clients within the operating department/treatment unit. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards of care while ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients during their peri/post-operative period.
About You
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1or Registered ODP who have experience of working within an Operating Department with active NMC registration and PIN. You will be willing to work within all areas of the Operating Department including anaesthetics, theatre & recovery.
Main duties of the job
Undertake the care, support and observations of the client during the peri/post-operative period, reporting any abnormal recordings to the person in charge; including airway management and care of the unconscious client.
Administer and/or supply medications within the operating department/treatment unit as required as per Professional Guidelines.
Oversee, complete and sign off relevant documentation, ensuring it is accurate and fully completed in a timely manner.
Undertake counts of swabs, instruments and needles in conjunction with another member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Provide comfort, support and reassurance to clients in times of anxiety or distress, and maintain and respect the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of clients at all times.

Salary: £35,977 - £41,871 per annum pro rata - depending on skills and experienceThe salary is inclusive of the Outer London Weighting.
Shift Pattern:30 hours per week, working flexibly over Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday ( 4 x 7.5hr days).
Saturday shifts are paid at time and a
half
