We're looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our professional and dedicated team at BPAS Richmond, London, on a part time, permanent basis. You will carry out cleaning duties within the unit in accordance with agreed levels and standards.
This role is working 18 hours per week on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays. A detailed shift pattern and salary information can be found below.
About You
You'll have experience of household cleaning and knowledge of cleaning procedures with regard to the correct use of cleaning materials and equipment. You'll have practical cleaning techniques and will be able to apply these to the workplace.

Main duties of the job
- Clean the premises to include cleaning work tops, dusting of telephones, furniture, window ledges & any other fixtures.
- Monitor stock of cleaning materials for ordering by the Treatment Unit Manager, & stock toilets with sufficient supplies.
- Assist in the washing and ironing of all dirty linen daily, observing strict control of infection controls.
- Mark and date all linen before putting into circulation and regularly check all linen for repair/replacement and take out of use.
- Periodically wipe down paint work, carry out high dusting, wash inside of windows and clean window blinds.
- To vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors.
- To empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with BPAS procedures.
- To clean toilet areas including toilet, washbasins, window ledges, cupboards, and bins.
- Use all cleaning materials in accordance with COSHH and Health & Safety Regulations, and comply with cross infection instructions with regard to cleaning materials and equipment.
- Comply with Manual Handling Regulations and to use manual handling techniques
