We are looking for an Operational Manager to oversee our reproductive healthcare services within the North West region. Consisting of the following locations: Chester, Manchester East, Manchester West,
Leicester, Dudley, Llandudno, Merseyside, St Helens, Warrington, Liverpool,
Powys, Shrewsbury, Telford.
We would welcome applicants with strong leadership & management skills from a clinical, commercial or corporate background.
About the role:
As an OM, you will be responsible for the ensuring BPAS treatment units in the region deliver safe, effective, & efficient client-centered termination of pregnancy services while developing & sustaining a high performing, motivated & engaged team.
This role will require strong operational management to ensure consistent service delivery at agreed national standards aligning to KPI's. You will work to ensure Units meet & can evidence all Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements & be responsible for the management & development of Treatment Unit Managers within the region.
The way we deliver reproductive healthcare services is evolving & you will be a key part of that change. No caretaker management here! Ideas, vision, & drive required.
Main duties of the job
- Ensure service delivery to the agreed standards of client care, aligned to the treatment unit dashboards and within budget.
- Ensure the CQC Registered locations/satellites meet & can evidence all CQC requirements.
- Be responsible for operational performance and fostering cross-functional relationships, to deliver organisational KPIs working across internal & external (CCG) boundaries.
- Monitor & forecast the achievement of capacity across units, taking remedial action with TUMs to address shortfalls &/or unused appointments.
About You:
You will have a positive, pro-active working style with experience in leading direct reports to achieve operational standards. You will be adept at building and developing talent within your team. With a high level of personal resilience & self-confidence you will be comfortable having difficult conversations & effectively balancing multiple competing priorities at any one time.
People management experience including recruitment, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances & dealing with poor performance is essential for this role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, & mentoring skills.
- Able to lead by example, being assertive & positive whilst having a logical and methodical approach.
- Willing to travel as necessary, over significant distances & possibly at short notice

Salary:£55,678 to £66,052 per annum dependent on skills and experience. You will also have a company car allowance of £5,100 per annum.
