As Head of Operations and part of a team of 3, you will be responsible for the strategic development and operational performance of our In-Clinic Services, Telemedicine Consultation Services, and Client Support Services. You will lead a team of dedicated managers to ensure seamless, client-centered service delivery that aligns with BPASs goals and standards.

We are looking for an accomplished leader with extensive experience managing diverse, geographically dispersed teams. A background that demonstrates a strong ability to deliver on strategic objectives, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement in a healthcare or social care environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Strategic Planning -Develop & implement strategic & operational plans to align services with BPAS organisational goals.
  • Operational Oversight -Ensure that services across In-Clinic Operations, Telemedicine, & Client Support are delivered to high-quality standards, on time, & within budget.
  • Resource Management -Oversee capacity management, workforce planning, & resource allocation to ensure timely, safe, & effective care.
  • Leadership & Development-Provide leadership, motivation, & guidance to managers, supporting their development & fostering a culture of accountability & continuous improvement.
  • Performance Management -Define & monitor KPIs ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Take the lead on identifying underperformance & corrective actions.
  • Budget Management -Lead on budget plans & financial oversight for all service areas, ensuring expenditure aligns with performance & quality objectives.
  • Change Management- Lead & implement organisational changes across departments to improve client experiences, operational efficiency, & service quality.
  • Compliance & Quality -Foster a culture of continuous improvement & client-centered care, ensuring services are consistently CQC compliant & ready.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: -Represent BPAS at events, building strong relationships with commissioners, regulators, external partners.
  • Complaint & Risk Management:-Provide oversight for complaints, incidents, & investigations, ensuring appropriate escalation & resolution.

  • Strong experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams, including managing and developing line managers across multiple locations.

  • Proven ability to set strategy and deliver results, using clear KPIs, workforce planning and demand and capacity management.

  • Experience leading change and continuous improvement within a service environment, improving processes and client pathways across multiple contact channels.

  • Confident managing budgets, performance data and operational delivery.

  • Experience working with external regulators and operating within regulated environments.

  • Ideally experienced within a health or social care setting, with an understanding of NHS commissioning and relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, including report writing, presentations and stakeholder engagement.

  • Commercially aware, recognising the link between service delivery, quality and organisational growth.

Further Information

Location: Hybrid - working from home with days in Head Office Leamington Spa and BPAS Units when required.

Base location: - BPAS Head Office, Orion House, Athena Drive, Tachbrook Park, Leamington Spa, CV34 6RQ

Salary: £70,000 - £76,602 depending on Skills and Experience

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am 5pm and Friday 9am 3.30pm

NB: Shifts that are longer than 6 hours, will include a 30 minutes unpaid break.

On call -All members of the Senior Operating Team will be required to participate in an on-call rota. The On-Call policy and procedure is being reviewed and revised, however it is envisaged that participation will involve being available to receive emergency / on-call telephone calls up to 9pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays and Sundays approximately 4 times per year.
