Job summary

This is a hybrid role and will involve working from our office in Furnival Street, London for 2 days a week and remotely for the remaining 3 days.

Here at BPAS we are looking for a Campaigns and Special Projects Manager to join our external affairs team for 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday.

About the role:

As a Campaigns and Special Projects Manager, you will be at the forefront of our mission to make a positive impact on society. Your role will encompass planning, executing, and overseeing strategic campaigns and special projects aimed at creating awareness and driving change. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, advocate for important causes, and utilise your creative thinking to develop innovative strategies. About You:

Ideally, you will be educated to degree level or have relevant experience in a similar role. You will bring experience in creating and managing effective campaigns, particularly within the women's health or human rights sectors. You should also possess a deep understanding of government institutions, parliamentary processes, and the policy-making process, enabling you to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Furthermore, we highly value your familiarity with the relationship between media, policy development, and the role of supporters and other campaigners.

Main duties of the job

  • Research, develop and co-ordinate campaigns which maximise impact and influence and reflect our advocacy goals
  • Work across the campaigns and policy teams to deliver a range of different communication and engagement tools for BPAS campaigns
  • Develop strategies to increase public understanding of the broader circumstances in which women make their reproductive decisions, and how they can be best supported
  • To cultivate, expand and embed the use of the BPAS supporters network, including Friends of BPAS, to mobilise support and funding for the organisation and our aims
  • Represent BPAS as required at external meetings
  • To support the running of the press office, including responding to press requests as required
  • Identify, develop and integrate advocacy components and activations within the delivery of campaign
  • To work closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure campaigns are co-ordinated effectively
