As the front door to our service, our Booking & Information Centre supports patients, their representatives, and health & social care providers to access kind, timely, & high-quality information on the services we provide, signposting to related services when required. Care will be compassionate and non-judgmental. The BIC enables patients to book appointments & organise their care with us, supporting clarity on their care pathway and connecting them to additional support when required.

The role

We're looking for a BIC Manager to lead the daily operations of our Booking & Information Centre, ensuring a safe, efficient, & patient-focused service. Reporting to the Head of Operations & managing BIC Team Managers, you'll provide visible leadership, uphold quality & compliance, & drive performance.

This is a key role, promoting continuous improvement & ensuring our services remain responsive, compassionate, and patient-centred.

The BIC operates seven days a week. While this role is primarily Monday to Friday, flexibility is required to support the business, including occasional weekend working, to ensure the service remains responsive & patient-focused.

This role is based at our Head Office in Leamington Spa. You'll work on-site three days a week, with two days from home once fully trained.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead the daily operations of the BIC, ensuring all patient contacts are managed efficiently & to the highest standard

  • Provide visible leadership, supporting & developing Team Managers to deliver safe, consistent, & patient-focused services

  • Monitor and report on service performance, addressing areas for improvement & maintaining compliance with regulatory & organisational standards

  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, & development, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture

  • Work collaboratively with clinical, safeguarding, & risk teams to ensure safe & effective service delivery

  • Manage departmental budgets & resources efficiently, ensuring best value & optimal staffing levels

  • Drive service improvement initiatives, supporting the Head of Operations with planning & delivery of future developments

  • About You

    You will bring experience managing operational teams in healthcare or patient-focused urgent care services, balancing performance, people management, & compliance. Calm under pressure, you'll lead by example, motivate teams, foster collaboration, and ensure excellent patient experiences in time critical settings.

    You'll need:

    • Strong leadership and team management experience in healthcare services

    • Proven ability to coach and develop staff

    • A solid understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and patient safety frameworks

    • Proven ability to manage performance, resources, and budgets effectively

    • Flexibility to support a 7-day operational service
