If so, we have an exciting opportunityto join the lymphoedema teamas a specialist practitioner or in a developmental post.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care provides a specialist lymphoedema service for people who are living with this condition because of current disease or following cancer treatments. Lymphoedema is not a life limiting illness, however it can be a chronic, long-term condition with both physical and psychological symptom burden. The hospice ethos to lymphoedema care promotes a holistic treatment approach, with the overall aim to improve quality of life.
Main duties of the job
To provide skilled care and expertise in lymphoedema management for patients who have lymphoedema secondary to concurrent illness or cancer treatment and ensure that the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs of the patient and family are identified and supported.
To liaise with medical colleagues and all members of the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure that a co-ordinated, high quality, patient focused approach to lymphoedema management is adopted.
To educate patients, relatives, and health care professionals on lymphoedema management, promoting individualised lymphoedema regimens and encourage ongoing self- management where possible

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is a community-based Hospice dedicated to empowering people to live well.We provide proactive clinical care, healtheducationand psychological support. Enabling individuals and families to adapt, remain in control, and make informed choices about their health and future.
Lewis-Manning Lymphoedema team provide specialist services from clinic sites in Bournemouth and Poole, with the ability to undertake home visits to help symptom management of lymphoedema at end of life.
