Work directly with PCN leadership and GP practices to develop services that make a real impact. Lead on identifying income-generating opportunities from national contracts to local innovations. Build key partnerships across the NHS, local authorities, NIHR, and the NWL Training Hub. Support the development of research, education, and centralised services that improve care and efficiency.

Main duties of the job
The Primary Care Business Development Manager will play a key role in enhancing patient outcomes by supporting the Federation, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Practices to maximise income from local and national contracts, ensuring comprehensive population coverage and improved patient access to care.
They will develop research opportunities through the Training and Research Hub to advance innovative commercial and NIHR research in West London, directly benefiting patient care while increasing income for local practices. The manager will identify and lead on new service contracts in collaboration with NWL NHS Trusts and Local Authorities, securing investment to expand local service delivery and improve patient experiences.
Working closely with NWL Training Hub and NWL ICB, they will help provide high-quality training for staff, ensuring skilled care for patients across West London.
Reporting to the Director of Operations and participating in the LMA Responsiveness Committee, the postholder will monitor PCNs and practices contract delivery to address challenges and promote equitable health coverage. They will negotiate local solutions and collaborate on service centralization, such as Spirometry, to optimise resource use and enhance patient care within the Federation.
