Job summary
The Supporter serves as an experienced practitioner and trusted human link for each young person participating in the programme. The post holder is responsible for providing personalised engagement, including welcome emails, tailored messages, weekly reviews, and ongoing support as the primary point of contact for queries. They will also monitor risk and outcomes, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous programme improvement.
The role includes managing a caseload of young people and/or parents who typically engage with the programme for 6–8 weeks. In addition, the post holder will provide training and guidance to other services and practitioners involved in supporting the research trial..
Main duties of the job
Service Delivery & Programme Support
Supporting the SilverCloud programme offer, working with colleagues to promote the service and liaising with school staff and other stakeholders.
Delivery of the programme on-site where needed and required, on either an individual or group basis.
Holding a caseload of young people (aged 14–19) and/or parents/carers at any one time.
Sending out welcome emails and bespoke messages, offering weekly reviews, acting as a contact point for queries, monitoring risk and outcomes, and gathering feedback to support programme improvement.
Updating stakeholders regularly regarding engagement and progress.
Working on-site or remotely from home as required.
Stakeholder & Partnership Working
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and services.
Liaising with services, referrers, professionals, and families.
Communicating with parents/families in line with Northpoint guidance.
Safeguarding, Risk, & Quality Assurance
Taking a proactive approach to ensuring safeguarding concerns are raised appropriately.
Ensuring all records are kept confidentially and in line with organisational procedures.
Working with other professionals to ensure therapeutic input is appropriate to the needs of the client group and aligned with the evidence base.
Training, Guidance & Professional Support
Providing support, guidance, and training to other services/practitioners involved in the research trial
About us
Northpoint provides school-based support and therapeutic interventions and operates as the lead provider in select local mental health partnerships in collaboration with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and NHS Trusts.
Northpoint has worked in partnership with SilverCloud to develop online CBT based treatment programmes for young people. SilverCloud is already well established in the adult IAPT service where it has helped improve access and recovery rates of thousands of clients. Evidence shows that in Adult IAPT SilverCloud has been used by a high volume of clients and has had positive outcomes, there is evidence that recovery rates are higher than for non-digital therapy

- Salary: £32,010 – £36,810 (Northpoint Band G5)

- Experience of providing supportadvice to children and young people
- Experience in assessing child protection safeguarding concerns and the ability to act on these in accordance with relevant safeguarding procedures
