We are looking for someone to join our friendly team who has an interest in administration to support the smooth running of various services, including Primary Care Enhanced Access and support of a range of Clinical Services.

If you are organised, like working using your own initiative and would love to expand your knowledge in the areas that you will be supporting, then this opportunity is for you!

We are an expanding team so there will be potential for many learning opportunities.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will support our Enhanced Access provisionand other Service Facilitators in the delivery of STHC Services and Programmes across South Tyneside.

This includes ensuring our appointments are carefully managed, appointment books are maintained, and patients are registered and booked in with the most appropriate clinicians.

The Administration Support will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including arranging meetings and taking minutes.

It's important that you can work well as part of a team as well as independently and have the ability to work using your own initiative to deliver our business objectives

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient and Calm under pressure.
  • Excellent Computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel

  • Able to provide advice and information in a polite and courteous manner.

  • GCSE English and / or Maths at grade C or above
  • Further education qualification such as A levels, NVQ level 2 or above, degree etc

  • Dealing with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
  • Experience of arranging meetings, setting up meetings, and providing related admin support e.g. setting agendas and taking minutes.

Desirable

  • Experience of using EMIS or equivalent clinical system
  • Experience of clinical system coding/scanning
