Main duties of the job
Partner Responsibilities:
- To act as GP lead in agreed clinical areas and be responsible to the partnership for the Practices achievement of national and local targets e.g. QOF, enhanced services.
- To contribute actively to the operational and strategic management and development of the Practice. Working closely with the Managing Director to act as GP lead in agreed areas.
- Assist with the clinical supervision and training of Practice staff and others as agreed.
- To take an active role in oversight and achievement of financial balance following practice budget planning.
- The arrangement of annual leave will be through mutual agreement of the
- Salaried Partners, Salaried GPs and Practice Manager. This will be conducted through a meeting twice a year (Spring & Autumn). The service must be safely staffed at all times, failure to ensure adequate cover is in place may lead to the requirement for leave to be cancelled. Holiday arrangements for peak times such as school holidays should be agreed at least 6 months in advance.
- As a Salaried Partner the post holder will fulfil the remits of the role to ensure the requirements of the GMS contract are met. Similarly, it would not be expected that action would be taken which would negatively impact on the practice's reputation or payments due to the practice (under GMS Contracts).
